​​Senior PR Specialist, Zalo

The (Senior) PR Specialist will strengthen Zalo’s corporate and product reputation by developing compelling narratives, building trusted media relationships, and delivering integrated PR campaigns across earned and owned channels. This role will work closely with external stakeholders (media, journalists, vendors…) and key internal stakeholders (product teams) to drive visibility, manage risks, and ensure consistent brand messaging.

🤖 What you will do

  • PR Strategy & Integrated Communications Planning
    • Plan and execute PR strategies and campaigns across multiple channels (earned media, Zalo ecosystem, social platforms, corporate website, and internal coordination where relevant) to maximize reach and message impact;
    • Partner closely with Product teams to translate product roadmaps, launches, and milestones into clear PR plans, key messages, and story angles;
    • Own campaign timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional alignment; ensure consistency of brand voice and messaging. 
  • Media Relations & Content Development
    • Develop and produce high-quality PR materials, including press releases, PR articles, case studies, speeches/talking points, media kits, and executive/brand reports;
    • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with journalists, editors, KOLs/opinion leaders, and relevant media outlets;
    • Manage press inquiries, briefing preparation, and interview coordination. 
  • Issues Management & Crisis Support
    • Proactively identify risks and support issues management for both corporate reputation and product communications;
    • Support crisis management activities (scenario planning, key message house, Q&A documents, escalation flow) and assist in response execution when needed;
    • Monitor public sentiment and emerging topics; propose actions to mitigate reputational risks early. 
  • Event Communications
    • Plan, organize, and lead PR events for corporate brand and/or product units (press conferences, media briefings, launch events, community events). 
    • Coordinate stakeholders, agendas, speaker preparation, media attendance, and post-event coverage tracking.
  • Media Partnerships, Sponsorships & Stakeholder Engagement 
    • Develop and manage strategic media partnerships and sponsorship opportunities aligned with brand objectives;
    • Maintain a strong network of relevant external stakeholders (including government/policy-related stakeholders where applicable) and ensure professional engagement in alignment with company guidelines. 
  • Agency & Vendor Management
    • Work with external agencies for media booking, clipping, social listening, and campaign execution;
    • Set clear briefs/KPIs, monitor service quality and performance, and ensure cost-effective delivery. 
  • Social Listening
    • Monitor media landscape (print, online, broadcast, social platforms, blogs/forums) and provide timely updates/insights to stakeholders; 
    • Consolidate learnings into recommendations for future campaigns and brand positioning. 
  • Budget & Administrative Management
    • Contribute to annual/quarterly PR budget planning and cost control to ensure effective resource allocation;
    • Handle administrative workflows related to PR activities, including PA/PR/PO processing, vendor documentation, and follow-ups.

👾 What you will need

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field;
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in PR/Communications (in-house and/or agency);
    • Proven track record in planning and delivering PR campaigns with measurable impact. 
  • Core Competencies
    • Strong content strategy and editorial skills; ability to craft messaging for different audiences and channels. Strong storytelling skills;
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills—able to work effectively with Product teams and senior stakeholders;
    • Solid knowledge of media operations and social media ecosystems; familiarity with social listening and reporting is a plus;
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines;
    • Event planning/coordination experience and comfort managing cross-party logistics. 
  • Additional Requirements (as applicable)
    • Comfortable networking and working with policy/government-related stakeholders when required;
    • Willingness to travel for work when necessary;
    • High/Intermediate English proficiency is a plus;
    • Enjoy working in the technology and AI industry.
