Senior Backend Engineer, ZVAS

Zalo VAS (Value-Added Services) delivers new revenue-driving experiences to 75 million+ users of Zalo. We’re looking for a Back-end Developer who loves turning product ideas into fast, elegant interfaces that scale reliably across the Zalo super-app ecosystem.
🤖 What you will do
- Develop and maintain server-side features for the Social Photo/Avatar service;
- Contribute to designing microservices;
- Design, build, and deploy high-performance, low-latency, and high-availability solutions;
- Participate in system optimization, large-scale load handling, and continuous improvement of backend performance;
- Write high-quality, clean, simple, and maintainable code;
- Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas to improve overall system quality.
👾 What you will need
- At least 3 years of programming experience with Java-based technologies (such as Java or Spring Framework) and OOP;
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles;
- Have knowledge of Microservices Architecture, Linux operating system, RDBMS and NoSQL, familiarity with Caching (Memcached, Redis,.);
- Have knowledge of security (Cross-site scripting (XSS), Data injection attacks, JavaScript code injection, Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), Content Security Policy (CSP));
- A strong sense of responsibility, eagerness to learn, energetic and dynamic attitude, and excellent collaboration skills for both teamwork and independent work.
Nice to have:
● Knowledge of or experience with JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS or VueJS;
● Experience working with large-scale systems that require high performance and stability;
● Involvement in architecture optimization, performance tuning, and making long-term improvement suggestions for products.
