Content Licensing Specialist, Zing MP3
We are looking for a Content Licensing Specialist to manage content licensing and partnership development across Zing MP3, ZStyle, and other Zalo products.
This role will be responsible for managing relationships with local and international record labels, music distributors, publishers, IP owners, and other content partners; negotiating licensing agreements; and ensuring that content is properly licensed and commercially leveraged across our digital ecosystem.
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the music and entertainment industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple licensing projects from deal development to contract execution and ongoing partnership management.
🤖 What you will do
1. Music Licensing – Zing MP3
- Manage music licensing partnerships with local and international record labels, music distributors, music publishers, and other rights holders;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners while identifying new content partners and licensing opportunities;
- Negotiate commercial terms, licensing fees, revenue-sharing models, usage rights, territories, and contract durations;
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure licensed content is delivered, updated, and made available in accordance with contractual terms;
- Monitor licensing performance, partner deliverables, and compliance with contractual obligations.
2. Music & IP Licensing – ZStyle
- Manage music licensing and intellectual property (IP) licensing for ZStyle and related products, including music usage, artist content, and other entertainment-related IP;
- Identify and develop partnerships with IP owners, artists, labels, agencies, and content providers;
- Negotiate licensing rights for different use cases, platforms, distribution channels, and commercial activities;
- Coordinate with product, business, legal, and other relevant teams to support product launches, campaigns, and new business initiatives.
3. Licensing for Other Zalo Products & Business Initiatives
- Support music, content, and IP licensing requirements for other Zalo products and business units as needed;
- Evaluate new licensing opportunities based on business needs, product requirements, and commercial potential;
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to develop appropriate licensing solutions and partnership models.
👾 What you will need
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Marketing, Communications, or a related field;
- 3+ years of experience in content licensing, music licensing, business development, content partnerships, IP licensing, or a related field;
- Good understanding of the music industry, including record labels, music distributors, publishers, artists, and digital music platforms;
- Experience in commercial negotiations, contract management, and partner relationship management;
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
- Good command of English for working with international partners;
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with international or local record labels, music distributors, music publishers, digital music platforms, or entertainment companies;
- Experience in music rights, copyright, neighboring rights, publishing rights, or IP licensing;
- Familiarity with digital content distribution, music streaming, digital products, and content monetization.
- Experience working with legal teams on licensing agreements and rights clearance.
